Credits (Credit Memos)
When a credit shows here, in the hosting portal, the credit will automatically apply to your account and show as a credit was applied. These are credits that are created here from returns, refunds, or from having someone sign up from your referral link.
When a credit or credit memo is created in our primary accounting system, for those that have IT services, it will pull from that credit on the account before it will charge the credit card on file. We cannot show these credits under the hosting platform or it would double the credit on the account.
Payment Method Display Notice
When a credit is applied from the primary accounting system, the invoice may display “Credit Card” or "Mail-in Payment" due to a limitation within our hosting platform and how it syncs with our primary accounting system. It is showing the account’s default payment method is why this happens. The other thing to note is that when an account credit is applied from our primary accounting system the transaction field remains blank to indicate that no credit card transaction occurred or check number entered. The accounting system contains the authoritative payment record and we can provide transactional statements upon request.
